cosigners

Invite-only · Trust-based

A directory of businesses people you know actually use.

Cosign is a private business directory built on real relationships. Listings are invisible until someone you trust puts their name on them.

01

Build your network

Add people you know and trust. Your trust graph is private and one-way — nobody is told.

02

Cosign businesses you'd recommend

Only requested cosigns are allowed. Each one is tied to your name and public to those with access.

03

Search filtered by people you trust

Find businesses through your network, not anonymous star ratings. Signal over noise.

Reviews are anonymous. Cosigns are not.

Every recommendation is attached to a real person in your network. You see who stands behind a listing — and what they said.

Built for tight-knit professional communities — alumni networks, industry guilds, faith communities, founder circles — where reputation travels by word of mouth and a referral is worth more than a five-star rating.

Common questions

Is it invite-only?

Yes. Cosign starts private to keep trust quality high. Ask someone already on the platform to invite you.

How is this different from LinkedIn or Yelp?

Cosign tracks direct recommendations for specific businesses — not broad professional profiles or anonymous reviews. Signal is filtered through people you know.

What if I revoke a cosign?

Your cosign is removed silently. It no longer counts toward a listing's visibility and nobody is notified.

Do people see who trusts them?

No. Trust connections are private and one-way. You choose who to trust without them ever knowing.

Is it free?

The current product is free while the model is being refined.

What about bad actors?

Cosigns are named and request-only, which raises the cost of bad behavior. You can only cosign someone who asked you directly.
